This pretty girl is Bonnie who is 2 and half years old.  Bonnie is very timid and will take time to settle into any new home.  She needs a quiet home with few visitors.  No children either in the home or visiting and no other pets.

Bonnie will need an calm experienced home, who are prepared to work with her.  Long walks in quiet surroundings, especially at the beginning of the relationship until she bonds fully.

She will bond to her new owners very quickly, but must not be allowed to take over the home.  Bonnie is not spayed and does have an ongoing ear problem.

Bonnie isn’t good at the vets. She walks well when no distractions but is reactive if approached by strange people or dogs.

Interested in Adopting?

The dogs in need of a new home change frequently – the dogs above should only be seen to be a representation of dogs available. We try to place a dog that will be a good match for a new home, taking account of the dogs behaviour and character, and each home’s situation.  Second Chances’ devoted volunteers cover the whole of Scotland and the North of England.

We ask for a donation for each dog; this is dependant on the specific dog in question – we will discuss the details with you as part of the adoption process.

Dogs that are put up for rehoming may or may not be vaccinated and neutered – if a dog has not been vaccinated or neutered, we ask that a new owner commits to get this done.

Please in the first instance complete our Home Assessment Form and one of our local volunteers will be in touch. Or email us at

Thank you for considering rehoming.
